This report is a brief overview of how NAPHAM programmes have been implemented and managed in Blantyre .They include the five thematic areas which are prevention, care and support, advocacy, livelihood, membership anchor and capacity building. During the month 16 support groups managed to report.
Blantyre is one of the districts found in the southern region of Malawi. It is also called a commercial city. There are eight (8) Traditional authorities and seventy-six group village headmen found in the district. NAPHAM has approximately 3,000 members in the district. And there are fifty-two (52) static ART sites and four (4) mobile ART sites in the district and 4 CD4 count machine centers. Out of these ART clinics 23 are government owned, 6 CHAM, Blantyre city council 1, private clinics 22 and 4 mobile clinics.
